What do you need to be a Marketing Data Scientist at Yellow Pages?


Education, Experience and Technical skills

 

  • Bachelor degree (Masters preferred) in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics and a thorough understanding of data mining and machine learning techniques
  • Proficiency in Predictive Modeling techniques (linear/logistic regression, uplift modeling, decision  trees, clustering & time-series modeling  using Python/R and SQL
  • Experience dealing with very large datasets (Structured & none-Structured data).
  • Advanced SQL, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of statistical techniques, analysis and interpretation used for customer profiling, segmentation, response, attrition, retention and profitability analysis.
  • Knowledge of Tableau /Power BI., Google Analytics, Salesforce, BI tools
  • Experience working for cloud platforms
  • Ability and experience dealing with very granular data from multiple sources


Soft Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to translate modeling results into business implications
  • Ability and experience in designing and developing solutions for increasing monetization
  • Creative thinking and problem solver who can connect activities to draw business insights and improve ROI
  • Ability to think in a creative and innovative manner and continually evolve with changing business needs and conditions.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude
